Qatar Digital Government Training Program, at the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC), is holding a series of virtual symposia and discussions to shed light on the latest technology research and applications related to the pandemic of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the extent of using them to face the challenges during such crisis.

This series including 21 symposia and discussions, which is being held from 21 June until 8 July, targets IT employees at government entities, in collaboration with national and global academic institutions such as Hamad bin Khalifa University, Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, HEC Paris and international corporations like Huawei.

This series is discussing a host of national research, as well as a number of technologies and important topics, including the role of Blockchain technology and the extent of its use to support the global efforts to confront Coronavirus, and its implementation mechanism to secure smart cities. In addition, the series is discussing how the pandemic is impacting global supply chains and data analytic tools.

This series, which is being presented by elite of experts and specialized academics, comes within the framework of efforts made by MOTC to support the IT sector in various government entities in facing the challenges of the current crisis of COVID-19 and understanding the latest technologies. This also includes enhancing the technological, technical and leadership skills of ICT employees in such a way that contributes to achieving the objectives of the Qatar Digital Government and building the sought digital future.
