MOTC Discloses 374 Websites of E-Commerce Meeting Local Needs

The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) has disclosed 374 websites of E-Commerce meeting all needs of merchants and shoppers and enabling them to use many possibilities provided by Qatar's E-Commerce Portal. 

MOTC pointed out that the E-Commerce companies' directory in the State of Qatar includes various categories totaling 18 business sectors and activities.

MOTC via the Qatar's E-Commerce Portal provides all information pertaining to the E-commerce market for merchants and shoppers in the State of Qatar, including the list of the providers of website services, payment portals and providers of logistical services. This also includes programs, opportunities and initiatives of supporting, guiding, incubating and financing businesses, as well as the best practices and tips of online shopping that ensures a safe and reliable shopping for consumer via the internet. 

The Qatar's E-Commerce program aims to help in facilitating creating an environment conductive for promoting E-commerce, by addressing the outstanding issues, and coordinating the process of establishing appropriate governance mechanisms for running commerce via the internet in the State of Qatar in the future. Moreover, this portal is regarded as an inseparable part of the Qatar's E-Commerce program using a holistic approach to identify obstacles to the growth of E-commerce in the State and then address them.
