The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) has confirmed that Qatar Ports Management Company (Mwani Qatar) conducts the maintenance of all navigation aid along the coastline and waterways over the year, by its developed fleet and expertise of its professional team, which seeks to provide maritime services that are more efficient and sustainable worldwide.
The Ministry, in its tweet posted on its social media website (Twitter), added that the Company as mandated by the Ministry works on increasing the efficiency of maritime aid by periodic maintenance. This is with the aim of ensuring a safe navigation for all vessels operating in Qatar waters and preserving the safety of lives and property, as the Ministry said.
Mwani Qatar Company attaches great importance to implementing the highest standards of security and safety, by conducting periodic and permanent surveys of navigation aid, such as lighthouses, buoys and beacons (guiding lights). Moreover, the company is concerned with conducting the constant maintenance of navigation aid, in accordance with international specifications and standards, something which helps ship captains in navigating in the right and safe canals and guarding them against hazardous and unnavigable sea areas.
