News Details

The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) and Ooredoo have signed an agreement aimed at expanding the Government Data Centre (GDC). The Ministry’s new center (also called Government Data Center 2) will allow various government entities to host the IT infrastructure in the Ooredoo Data Center 5 facilities, which is characterized by a level of third-class security. The Ooredoo Center, which is connected to the government network, provides all basic and advanced hosting and monitoring services to government entities that host their services without the need for any additional capital expenditures.

Government entities will benefit from many advantages through the new center. They will have enough flexibility to quickly provide new services, a high-speed connection with the official government network, adhere to national information security standards, in addition to being distinguished by large hosting capacities, and with technical support around the clock through a specialized team of Ooredoo experts.
