MOPH Launches Qatar Cancer Information Center

The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) has launched Qatar Cancer Information Center (QCIC) platform, in the presence of an elite group of specialists and academics from Qatar and the GCC countries.

QCIC is considered the reference of national cancer data and information in the State of Qatar, it aims to provide a comprehensive governance system for cancer information, and communication between all institutions and the concerned individuals.

Dr. Salih Ali Al Marri, Assistant Minister for Health Affairs of the Ministry of Public Health, stressed the importance of developing cancer-related services in Qatar and its impact on society. He explained that the MOPH, in cooperation with public and private sectors institutions, has developed strategic plans to achieve this goal through the National Cancer Strategy 2011-2016 and the National Cancer Framework 2017-2022, noting that the QCIC is one of its important outputs.
