The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) has announced new requirements for all travelers (Qatari citizens, residents, and visitors) coming from China to the State of Qatar as of Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at 6:00 pm Qatar local time. 

According to MOPH's website, all travelers arriving from China, regardless of their vaccination or immunity status, must present a negative PCR test result at the registration desk. The test must have been conducted within 48 hours of departure to the State of Qatar.

The Ministry stated that the policy update is a temporary measure to protect travelers coming to Qatar and the community from the virus, as China is currently witnessing a widespread COVID-19 virus among its population.
