MOPH Announces Reducing Age Limit for Receiving COVID-19 Vaccine

The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) has announced that people aged 65 years of age and above are eligible for receiving the Coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine. 

The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC), on its official Twitter account on the evening of Sunday, January 3, 2021, announced that reducing the age limit to below 70 years means that the below categories are now eligible for receiving the vaccine, namely:

1- People aged 65 years of age and above. 
2- People with very severe chronic conditions. 
3- Healthcare workers who directly contact Coronavirus (COVID-19) patients. 

PHCC clarified that, at the current phase, persons listed in the categories eligible for receiving the vaccine would be directly contacted by PHCC-affiliated health centers, either by SMS or by phone calls to arrange vaccination appointments.
