News Details

The Ministry of Interior (MOI) has announced providing customers with an online service related to receiving cheque reports via its website, as part of facilitating customers and enhancing electronic services, which are continuously developing.

MOI, in its statement, clarified that the security departments (The Capital, Al-Rayyan, North, South and Dukhan) have started receiving cheque reports via the electronic service on the MOI website. The Ministry said that this step would facilitate the procedures of cheque reports for companies, banks and individuals.

The Ministry stated that the service allows a complainant, whether he/she is an individual or a relevant person in these institutions to access the service and submit a report with attaching all required documents so that the relevant department will review these data and documents and verify their authenticity. Then, a complainant would be notified in a text message via "Metrash" stating that the report and its number have been received, as the Ministry said.

The Ministry also stated that a report applicant would be contacted via a text message if documents were incomplete and would be notified of required documents in order to complete the procedures and refer the report to the Public Prosecution according to the law.
