The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) has issued a guide of health and safety measures for the examinations of the end of the second semester of secondary school certificate and senior education. The guide included all measures that must be followed by a student before, during and after the examinations, as well as health measures followed by student, parent, school administration and observer. Moreover, the guide included requirements that the MOEHE will provide for schools, and the entry and exit points of students in examination halls.
The guide explained that people inside a school building (the chairman of examination committees, members of examination committees, observers, employees, students, workers and others etc.) must be committed to implementing the health and safety measures during the examinations of the end of the second semester of secondary school certificate and senior education as stipulated in this guide (everyone in accordance with his/her specialization). Moreover, they must be committed to implementing all precautionary and preventive measures to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic as stipulated by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) in the State of Qatar. These measures are as below:
1- Wearing masks and gloves and avoiding touching faces as well as the need to follow personal hygiene instructions during the examinations.
2- Keeping a safe distancing among students in the distance of two meters at least.
3- Sanitizing hands constantly.
4- Checking temperature at the entrance of school buildings. This is applicable to everyone who enters school building without exception (employee, student, visitor and worker).
- The need not to violate the measures in order to avoid penalties.
- The need not to come to the examination committees’ headquarters if there are visible symptoms of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the need to notify the school administration about it.
