MOEHE Announces Registration in Private Schools for 2021-2022 to Begin from 1 March

The sector of private education affairs of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) has announced opening registration for the academic year 2021-2022 in private schools and kindergartens from Monday, 1 March 2021 until Thursday, 14 October 2021. This is except for students coming from abroad who can register until the end of January 2022 as a maximum.

A circular issued by Mr. Hamad Muhammad Al Ghali, Director of the Private Schools Licensing Department on Tuesday, 16 February 2021, stated that a school determines the appropriate registration mechanism and this requires that it be announced in a manner that does not violate the regulations and laws for registration approved by the Ministry.

Documents required for registration:

1- A QID card or a registered passport belonging to a student (valid) + its copy (for all Qatari male and female students). 
2- A registered original passport belonging to a student + its copy (for all non-Qatari male and female students). 
3- An original birth certificate + its copy (for all male and female students). 
4- Ministry of Interior (MOI) ID number (for all male and female students).
5- A valid residence permit (RP) on a passport + its copy (for all expatriate male and female students), or a QID card. 
6- A valid RP belonging to a student's parent. 
7- A (To Whom It May Concern) certificate issued by the employer of a student's parent. 
8- A temporary RP card issued by the MOI in the State of Qatar belonging related to the holders of this card (valid) and its copies, and a citizenship registration card related to the population of Qatar. 
9- New personal photos (2) for all male and female students. 
10- Submitting a health record as well as a child's vaccination booklet from health centers related to kindergarten and pre-school levels and grade 1, in addition to vaccination certificates for expatriate students coming from abroad and ensuring their compliance with the national vaccination program in Qatar.
