The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) has announced opening the e-registration of government scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate students for the academic year 2020-2021, during the first period that begins from Tuesday, 7 July 2020 until Monday, 7 September 2020, via the Government Scholarship portal, for students applying for the fall semester during September. The e-registration of the second phase starting from 1 November 2020 until 31 December 2020 will be reopened for students applying for the spring semester.

MOEHE stresses the need to meet general and specific conditions related to scholarship, noting that submitted applications and incomplete applications would not be considered after closing the registration. Moreover, the Ministry emphasizes that the registration process via the portal and reviewing an application does not necessarily mean accepting scholarship application.

MOEHE said that it has provided the list of approved universities for scholarship and available specializations, as well as required documents for a scholarship application on its website.

The Ministry also emphasized that an applicant must meet scholarship conditions for the academic year 2020-2021, and among these conditions are that a student must be a Qatari citizen, must have a certificate of good conduct and must be medically fit under a medical certificate issued by approved medical authorities in the State of Qatar and other conditions.
