The Educational Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) has issued a report including a range of initiatives, projects and achievements made by the Ministry during 2020. They have been planned in order to achieve the goals of the strategic plan of the Ministry that emanates from the strategy of the education and training sector in the State, which in turn constitutes one of the eight strategies of the National Development Strategy for the State of Qatar.
In MOEHE's endeavor to achieve the strategic goal that is to raise the percentage of secondary school students joining the specializations of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), the project of Qatar Science and Technology Secondary School (QSTSS) has been completed in accordance with its implementation plan. This is by the inauguration of grade 11 in the school at the beginning of the current academic year.
QSTSS has also received international accreditation from "Advanced" organization. Moreover, the initiative of the horizontal expansion in the "STEM" system in public schools has been launched, by applying the "STEM" programs in the primary, preparatory and secondary schools.
