Mr. Hamad Mohammed Al Ghali, Director of the Private School Licensing Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE), has said that the new academic year (2021/2022) is expected to see the opening of 16 new private schools and kindergartens (KGs) that will provide 8870 seats for students.
While touring a number of schools and KGs across the State, Al Ghali added that the registration of students in private schools and KGs for the academic year 2021/2022 will continue until Thursday, October 14, 2021 while students coming from abroad can register until the end of January next year.
He also explained that the number of schools within education vouchers provided for Qatari citizens is 111 private schools and KGs.
