Ms. Hamda Abdulaziz Al Maadheed, Director of Information Systems Department affiliated with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), has disclosed MME providing 253 online services for the public, among of which are 50 services that have been upgraded through the project of the development and automation of online services. She noted that upgrading and launching the Ministry online services takes place via two tracks. She clarified that the first track is via the self-help provided by the technical staffs of MME Information Systems Department, and the second track is via two projects; one of these projects is to develop building permits’ services and the second project is to develop and launch the remaining services.
Al Maadheed stated that 620,844 transactions with monthly rate of completed 51,737 transactions had been completed during the year 2019, while the Ministry has completed 59,114 transactions during March 2020. She noted that there is work underway to complete a large part of connectivity between MME and all service ministries in order to streamline procedures for customers whether they are companies or individuals to serve the industrial, economic and commercial sectors. This aims at submitting applications without the need to check with the rest of ministries and there is underway work to complete them as soon as possible in the implementation of Qatar National Vision 2030 (QNV 2030) and the Ministry’s Strategy.
She also disclosed that there work is underway to develop and launch a new service within the upcoming few days since this service would provide a new way of receiving transactions pertaining to customers, by attaching and submitting all required details online without the need to visit relevant department at the Ministry in person. She clarified that the new service will provide the public with a new communication channel, in addition to the five communication channels provided by the Ministry through the online services on the Ministry’s website, "Oun" smart phone application, self-phone services, standardized call center (184), service centers and government service complexes.
