HE the Minister of Public Health Dr. Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari has stated that the drive-through the Coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination center in the city of Al Wakra will contribute to strengthening and expanding the National COVID-19 Vaccination Program, in line with the plan for this program.

During her visit to the center, the Minister expressed her happiness about the center that started operating yesterday, Sunday to serve the population of Al Wakra and its surrounding areas. In a tweet posted by the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) on its official Twitter account, she also expressed her thanks to healthcare cadres who work diligently in all COVID-19 vaccination centers, praising all medical staffs, assisting medical staffs, technical staffs and workers to preserve the safety and health of the population of the State of Qatar.

MOPH also announced that 7 out each 10 people who are over the age of 60 years have received the first Coronavirus vaccine dose at least since the beginning of the National COVID-19 Vaccination Program. MOPH added that 71.6% of people who are over the age of 60 years and 72% of people who are over the age of 70 years have received the first vaccine dose at least.
