Under the patronage of HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the activities of the Fourth World Conference on International Arbitration, organized by Qatar International Center for Conciliation and Arbitration at the Qatar Chamber, began yesterday, Tuesday, March 22, 2022, under the title of “The role of arbitration in achieving a suitable environment for investment and increasing its opportunities”.

The conference was opened by HE Mr. Masoud bin Mohammed Al Ameri, Minister of Justice, in the presence of HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatar Chamber and Chairman of the Qatar International Center for Conciliation and Arbitration, HE Sheikh Thani bin Ali Al Thani, member of the Board of Directors for International Relations at the Center, and a number of businessmen and a large selection of international and legal arbitrators and those interested in arbitration, as well as 30 speakers in the 8 working sessions included in the conference.

In his opening speech, HE Mr. Masoud bin Mohammed Al Ameri, Minister of Justice, said that Qatar is continuing its unremitting efforts to achieve sustainable development goals, based on the comprehensive development process laid down by HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of the State of Qatar. Through this process, Qatar has attained many achievements that have been reflected in the development and prosperity of our beloved country, especially the legal and judicial aspects.
