News Details

Qatar Navigation (Milaha), the leading provider company of maritime and logistic services in the Middle East, has managed to obtain the "ISO 27001" certification, in recognition of the quality of its information security management system. Intertek, the leading total quality assurance provider to various industries worldwide, has awarded Milaha the "ISO/IEC 27001: 2013" certification for its compliance with all requirements of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).

Obtaining the "ISO 27001" certification confirms that Milaha has the required information security control systems in place to protect clients, employees and stakeholders data. The certification is awarded only to companies that can meet the international standards as judged by an independent and qualified team of auditors. This comes after completing thorough reviewing and auditing processes for the information security management system used by Milaha and the extent to which this control system meets the international standard on the information security management.

In this framework, Mr. Abdulrahman Essa Al Mannai, president and chief executive of Milaha Group, has said: "Our obtaining ISO 27001 certification confirms the effectiveness of our information security management systems, and protecting the data of our clients, employees and stakeholders."
