Mesaimeer Tunnel Pumping Station and Outfall Project that is being implemented by the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has won "Gold Award" award and "Best New Entry in the Middle East" award from the British Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). The awards came in honor of the project performance in health and safety during 2019. 

The award has been received by Mr. Engineer Meshaal Jarallah Abushereeda representing the Drainage Networks Projects Department at Ashghal during a virtual ceremony, held via videoconferencing and in the presence of Ashghal and the project consultants and contractor.

On this occasion, Mr. Abushereeda has said that the award reflects the successful implementation of Ashghal's strategic goal to deliver sustainable infrastructure projects with achieving an outstanding health and safety performance through collaboration with all its partners.
