HE the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai said Qatar’s infrastructure maturity status has been reached, with world-class fiber and fifth generation (5G) networks.

The panel was moderated by the president of the World Economic Forum Borge Brende.
HE Al Mannai said that Qatar’s priority now is developing centric e-services for individuals and businesses, how to grow the existing information and communications technology (ICT) industry utilizing the investments being done in infrastructure and ensure having the right legal and regulatory framework to attract investment and transform the country into a regional digital hub.

HE the Minister also pointed to the priority of reskilling the existing resources to cope with the emerging technology deployment to get ready for the fourth industrial revolution, noting that the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has already established several flagship initiatives and will further collaborate with organizations to grow the ICT sector on all fronts.
