About

Mr. Mubarak Hamdan Al Arabeed, Director of the Housing and Government Buildings Department at the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs (MADLSA), has stated that the housing department and the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy welcome the owners who wish to support the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and cooperate with us through their real estate rental program. This is in accordance with the memorandum of understanding for the rental of residential properties signed between the two parties, to provide accommodation for fans and visitors during the tournament, as he said.

Mr. Al Arabeed also said that the period of renting the real estate will last for five years at the very least, which is the period of contracts signed with real estate owners, as the rented properties will be used for the World Cup requirements, and then used to accommodate employees through the government housing program.

Mr. Al Arabeed added that work is currently underway to receive requests of the real estate owners wishing to register in government housing, inspect real estate, and sign contracts with real estate owners approved by the Committee. He explained that this is provided that the door for applications is closed in the event that the required numbers of real estate are completed, and then the buildings will be received and contracts will be executed, since it is expected that all real estates will be received between the period from August 2021 to January 2022.
