Lieutenant Colonel Tariq Issa Al Aqidi, Officer of the Public Relations and Information Office at the General Directorate of Passports, said that the number of electronic transactions that took place during the first half of 2021 through the website of the Ministry of Interior (MOI) and (Metrash2) application amounted to 1,290.094 Million transactions, including more than 440,000 transactions through (Metrash2), including 305,302 transactions related only to the renewal of residence.

Lieutenant Colonel Tariq Issa Al Aqidi, pointed out during an introductory seminar on "the services of the General Directorate of Passports in the application of (Metrash2) and the services of Qatar visa centers abroad" via "Sabah Zoom platform", in which a large number of officials of companies, bodies, public and private institutions and heads of communities participated.

Lt. Col. Al Aqeedi asked companies to use (Metrash2) services because it is easier and saves time and efforts on both sides, pointing out that many companies do not use the automatic renewal service despite its importance, as this service can renew many at the same time.
