KAHRAMAA to Build Two New Stations to Develop Electrical Network

Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) announced the construction of two new stations in Al Luqta and Gharfat Al Rayyan areas with a voltage of 11/132 kilovolts and at an estimated cost of about QR155 million. This comes in line with its continuous endeavor to improve the quality of the electricity sector and develop its capabilities.

KAHRAMAA confirmed that this project comes within the framework of the Corporation's continuous efforts to develop electric transmission networks in proportion to the growth in demand, and that the importance of these two stations lies in enhancing the capacity of the electric network in the Al Luqata and Gharfa Al Rayyan areas. The new stations will contribute to improving the quality of electrical services in these areas, which in turn contributes to serving and supporting all future vital projects in Qatar.
