The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) has announced the launch of a new e-service that enables consumer to request for an electricity connection needed for electric vehicle charging stations at their locations. 

This service has been introduced to facilitate the application process and comes as part of efforts made to encourage and support the use of electric vehicles. Moreover, the new service enables consumers to request for an electricity connection (new connection and additional meter) for their own electric vehicle charging stations in accordance with the working mechanism announced about the National Program for Conservation and Energy Efficiency (Tarsheed) via the digital platform on KAHRAMAA website, as KAHRAMAA stated.

KAHRAMAA explained that this service could be also requested by selecting KMSP in the subscriber services section on KAHRAMAA website.
