Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) has achieved a new world record for Qatar by entering the Guinness Book of Records for Largest Drinking Water Storage Tank worldwide, in the project of the major strategic water storage tanks.
On its official website as well as in the approved certificate that KAHRAMAA has received, the Guinness World Records indicated that the volume of the largest water tank of its kind in the world is more than 436,000 cubic meters (exceeding 96 million Imperial Gallons, 115 million US Gallons). Therefore, this has made KAHRAMAA qualified to set a new world record that reflects the efficiency of the Corporation's strategy to enhance the water security in the State of Qatar.
KAHRAMAA announced that the entry of the major strategic water tanks project into the Guinness Book of Records represents new success in the Corporation's march with the support of the wise leadership.
The achievement of this world record reflects the strategic importance of the project, given that it is the backbone of water security in the State of Qatar, as it meets the State's aspirations to raise and secure strategic water reserves for various areas, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030 (QNV2030). This is because KAHRAMAA works to raise the level of efficiency of its networks to provide the best services for all sectors in the State.
