Qatar Chamber (QC) first vice-chairman Mohamed Bin Towar Al Kuwari met in office yesterday with the Investment Promotion Agency Qatar (IPA Qatar) CEO Sheikh Ali Bin Alwaleed Al Thani.
During the meeting, QC and IPA Qatar discussed ways of enhancing cooperation between the two parties in promoting Qatar's investment climate and identifying investment opportunities available in the State of Qatar in line with their joint efforts to draw further foreign investments. The meeting also touched on fields proposed for cooperation between the two sides, to be included in a cooperation agreement that will be inked in the coming period.
Speaking during the event, HE Mr. Al Kuwari stressed the Chamber's keenness to foster cooperation and communication with all government agencies in a way that maximizes the private sector's participation in the economy and enhances its anticipated role in national development. He pointed out that QC is interested in bolstering cooperation with IPA Qatar, whose key mandate is to promote investment and attract foreign investments to Qatar, affirming that this complements the efforts of the Chamber as a representative of the private sector.
On his part, HE Sheikh Ali Bin Alwaleed Al Thani, CEO of the Investment Promotion Agency Qatar, said that IPA Qatar is pleased to enhance cooperation with the Chamber and join hands to promote the State's investment climate and opportunities in the State of Qatar. He affirmed that IPA Qatar is developing a digital platform for investment, which will play an important role in identifying investment opportunities across sectors.
