The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, has begun installing air quality monitoring stations across Qatar University’s training stadiums, as part of an integrated program to enhance the monitoring of air quality around the training stadiums and playgrounds for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
This step comes as part of efforts to improve the air quality inside the tournament's stadiums, training facilities, and areas hosting various events during the World Cup, which are expected to witness the attendance of nearly 1.5 million fans during the competitions of the first edition of the championship in the Middle East and the Arab world.
