HE Mr. Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti, Minister of Transport, has emphasized that the decision of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)'s council to approve proceeding with the establishment of Doha flight information region (FIR)/search and rescue region (SRR) will benefit the State of Qatar. He pointed out that the decision is a recognition from a reputable international organization and acknowledgment of the State of Qatar's efficiency in management, security and safety in aviation industry.HE the Minister added: "Qatar getting a full region of borders in Doha FIR facilitates this process and makes the link between the State of Qatar and the rest of the world more flexible, simpler and easier."
