High Demand of Using SMSs by Government Entities With 293%

A survey conducted by the section of economic news affiliated with Al Raya Newspaper has shown a high demand of using the shared SMS gateway by government entities since it has reached 293.65% that is an increased rate of sending cellular SMSs within three months only, which are April, May and June. This is within the framework of the shared government services launched by the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC). These services have been upgraded in order to be used by government entities with the aim of increasing efficiency, reducing efforts and standardizing procedures and the best investment of information and communications technology (ICT) resources.

The survey also revealed that the second quarter of this year 2020 has witnessed this huge increase in sending SMSs, which have reached 26.249.666 SMSs, while the number of SMSs sent by government entities during the first quarter of 2020 has reached 8.939.034 SMSs via the shared SMS gateway.
