Hamad International Airport (HIA) has been ranked the “Third Best Airport in the World”, following a strong competition among 550 airports, according to the results of the SKYTRAX World Airport Awards 2020. Thus, the HIA has made a progress compared to the last year 2019 during which the HIA was ranked as the fourth best airport in the world. The HIA has been steadily rising in the ‘World's Best Airports’ rankings since the start of its operating procedures.
Badr Mohammed Al Meer, Chief Operating Officer at HIA, expressed his pride at the progress made by the Airport. He emphasized that this rewarding comes directly from passengers who have shared their experiences travelling through the airport through SKYTRAX World Airport Awards surveys.
He added: “Despite all the challenges that the aviation sector faces today, we are committed to playing our main role in helping travelers reach their home countries safely.”
