HH the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued Amiri Decision No 1 of 2022 renewing the term of the Board of Directors of Qatar Development Bank (QDB), and Decision No 2 of 2022 restructuring the Board of Trustees of Qatar University.

Decision No 1 stipulated that the term of the Board of Directors of Qatar Development Bank would be renewed for a period of three years. HE Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari as has been appointed as Chairman, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani as Vice Chairman, and the membership of HE Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Sayed, Saud bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, Salman Kaldari, Mohamed Badr Al Sada, and Abdulaziz Ismail Faraj Al Ansari.

Decision No 2 stipulated that the Board of Trustees of Qatar University be reconstituted under the chairmanship of HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, HE Sheikh Dr Abdullah bin Ali bin Saud Al Thani as Vice Chairman, and the membership of HE Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, HE Dr Hanan bint Mohammed Al Kuwari, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani, HE Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, HE Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, HE Dr Saleh bin Mohammed Al Nabit, HE Abdulaziz bin Nasser Al Khalifa, HE Dr Hessa bint Sultan Al Jaber, Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Thani, Nasser Khalil Al Jaidah. The chairman of the board may add a number of people with competence, experience and expertise and status in science to the membership of the board from inside or outside the country.

The two decisions are effective starting from their date of issue and are to be published in the Official Gazette.
