HH The Amir Chairs Third Meeting

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment, chaired the Council's third meeting in 2020 held yesterday morning at the Amiri Diwan.

HH The Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, the Deputy Chairman of the Council, attended the meeting along with HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Executive Member of the Council and Their Excellencies the members of the Council.

The Council reviewed the decisions and recommendations of its first and second meetings of 2020, addressed the topics on its agenda and took appropriate decisions regarding them. The Council also reviewed developments in energy affairs, investment affairs, general economic developments in the State, repercussions of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on the Qatari economy, and the economic measures and policies taken by the government to reduce these repercussions.
