The Center for International and Regional Studies (CIRS) affiliated with Georgetown University in Qatar (GU-Q), a Qatar Foundation (QF) partner institution, has launched the Covid Project, a data portal to support research into the societal, economic, cultural, religious, and political consequences of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the State of Qatar and the region.

The portal will serve as an important tool for analysis and gaining a deeper understanding of how to confront the pandemic in real time, as well as posting updates made on a regular basis regarding the crisis that hit the whole world.

This digital compilation of data and statistics on COVID-19 provides a focused understanding of how countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, as well as Iraq are being affected by the ongoing global crisis and responding to it.
