About

Captain Mr. Ali Al Kubaisi, Traffic Investigation Officer at Madinat Khalifa Traffic Department, said that during the current period in the light of implementing the precautionary measures to curb the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), it is preferable to register minor traffic accidents online via Metrash 2 mobile app, and not to head to traffic investigation department, pointing out the need to register a traffic accident from the same accident scene after moving vehicles, to ensure smooth traffic movement.

Mr. Al Kubaisi added that the procedures of registering accidents are simple, and that after registration, two people causing the accident will receive text messages stating the need to head to insurance company after verifying the one causing accident.

This service enables drivers to register traffic accident reports online in case of minor traffic collisions and upload pictures of damaged cars. Moreover, the service saves the waiting time for the arrival of traffic vehicle at scene, and spares the two parties involved in the accident heading to the traffic department for minor accidents. Registration can be done online by accessing Metrash 2 mobile app, then selecting "Registering Accident" from the list of "Traffic Services".
