GCO Clarifies Most Important Points in Draft Resolution Regulating Healthcare Services

Mr. Mohammed Nuwaymi Al Hajri, Official Spokesman of the Government Communications Office (GCO), has explained the most important points in the draft resolution about regulating healthcare services in the State of Qatar approved by the Cabinet.

The GCO official spokesman said that the Cabinet has approved the draft resolution about regulating healthcare services within the State according to the following work mechanisms:

- Healthcare services at health facilities shall be delivered to citizens and health insurance shall be compulsory for expatriates and visitors to ensure the provision of basic healthcare services.  
- The compulsory health insurance system includes non-Qatari workers in the public and private sectors, and basic healthcare includes healthcare services and preventive, curative and rehabilitative services, as well as other services set forth in the executive regulation.
