Government Contact Center (GCC) affiliated with the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) over the past period has served as a focal point between the Government and the public. This is by answering all inquiries of citizens and residents, whether these inquiries are related to health and awareness on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) or inquiries related to online government services, as well as answering all inquiries.
The Center provides technical support for 35 government entities and agencies in the State of Qatar, and provides 70 different services around the clock (24/7) by several languages, including signal language. Moreover, GCC has a unified government phone number (109), and there are phone numbers allocated for sector, including (16000) allocated for providing healthcare services in the State.
Over the past periods, the Center has provided tips related to awareness and guidance on the novel Coronavirus, and on how to protect individuals, families and institutions from susceptibility to the disease. This also includes answering the public inquiries related to the virus and its symptoms, as well as providing medical consultations for possible infection cases. GCC is regarded as one of the shared government services constituting a main focus for the sake of realizing the strategic goals of the Qatar Digital Government 2020. The Center provides support services for the public and answers their inquiries on all government services via phone number (109).
