The General Authority of Customs (GAC) recently completed the process of electronic linkage with the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH), through electronic linkage between the E-Systems of MOPH and GAC, as this linkage will immensely contribute to accelerating the process of obtaining the required approvals on materials that require the approval of MOPH and its affiliated departments such as food, medical, pharmaceutical and others, in addition to reducing the manual efforts of MOPH employees.

The electronic linkage between GAC and MOPH will contribute to reducing the time for customs clearance of materials and goods that are imported from different countries of the world, especially goods that may be quickly damaged and spoiled, as well as some goods that require special and accurate treatment.

It is noteworthy that GAC has previously set up an integrated mechanism to complete customer services to the fullest and around the clock, as an email has been allocated to receive transactions and a hotline to receive inquiries, in addition to the WhatsApp service allocated to receive inquiries and comments.
