The General Authority of Customs (GAC) continued to receive requests for commercial companies to join the "Authorized Economic Operator" program, which aims seeks to develop partnership and cooperation relations between the Authority and the private sector, and to grant facilities and benefits to the parties participating in the supply chain in international trade that meets a range of conditions and requirements and internationally accredited safety and security standards.
GAC opened the door to companies wishing to join the program, by reviewing the conditions and standards on the Authority’s website. Companies can also coordinate with GAC Operations Management and Risk Analysis Department to find additional details related to the companies’ work specialization.
The Authority confirms that the project is considered one of the most important customs projects that are currently being implemented and has made remarkable progress since its launch in 2019. More development and various facilities are being added to the program, to include all components of the supply chain and international trade, in addition to the conclusion of mutual recognition agreements with the commercial partners of the State of Qatar in order to contribute to economic development and provide more support and facilitation services for companies joining the program.
