Qatar Lawyers' Association (QLA), and a number of national lawyers’ offices inaugurated the first lawyer’s guide of its kind in Qatar, entitled (Lawyers in Qatar..a guide and information), with the participation of the Ministry of Justice, Katara and the Hawkamah Center, in a ceremony attended by Mr. Salem Fahad Ghorab Al Marri, Director of the Lawyers Affairs Department at the Ministry of Justice, Mr. Khaled El Sayed, Director of Events and Cultural Affairs, Katara, and a number of lawyers.

Mr. Salem Fahad Ghorab Al Marri, Director of the Lawyers Affairs Department and Vice-Chairman of the Lawyers Admission Committee at the Ministry of Justice, expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by QLA and lawyers in introducing the profession and raising its status in society. He appreciated the support provided by lawyers’ offices to the legal guide, which constitutes a strong push for the offices forward.

He said that the guide provides a great service to Qatar, and to facilitate the access of litigants to lawyers, noting that the Ministry of Justice tightens the hands of lawyers and expresses its gratitude to them because this constitutes a step forward and an unprecedented achievement, and means concerted efforts between the government side and national lawyers' offices.
