Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP) at the Ministry of Public Health has decided to exempt Qatari healthcare practitioners, the State of Qatar's university graduates, children of Qatari women, children of residents, and female spouses of residents wishing to work in government and semi-government healthcare facilities, from the experience requirement for the purposes of registration or licensing to practice the profession.
 
DHP stated in a circular that this decision shall apply to healthcare practitioners from the category of general practitioners (GP), general dentists, pharmacists, nursing, and allied health professions after completing internship program period according to a training program designed for each qualification.
