HE Dr Hanan Mohamed al Kuwari, Minister of Public Health, laid the foundation stone to mark the beginning of the construction work for Al Waab Dialysis and Diabetes Centre yesterday. HE Mr. Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim, Speaker of the Shura Council, and a number of their Excellencies members of the Council participated in laying the foundation stone.
The ceremony was attended by Abnaa Mohammed Al Mana Real Estate Company, the contributor to donate the establishment of the center. The establishment of this center comes within the framework of bringing the various health and treatment services to the community, as well as keeping pace with the tremendous developments of the state in the field of health care.
Al Waab Dialysis and Diabetes Centre will be built with a charitable donation and contribution by Abnaa Mohammed Al Mana Real Estate Company and managed by Hamad Medical Corporation. The center includes outpatient facilities and the provision of 78 dialysis units and three peritoneal dialysis units, in addition to separate clinics for nephrology and diabetes. The entrance of the emergency department will be on the ground floor, in addition to some social services such as a café, offices, a hall for seminars and conferences, a pharmacy, a courtyard, reception and waiting areas, a day activities room, two prayer rooms, and ample parking.
