The first phase of the electoral process for the Shura Council elections in its first session kicked off yesterday as voter registration applications were submitted in 30 electoral districts in various regions of the country.

The electoral districts defined by the Ministry of Interior (MOI) opened its doors for the citizens from 4pm to 8pm to register their names in the voter registration lists. The Ministry also allowed the registration via text message and the Metrash2 app.

MOI announced that the opening of voters registration process to elect the Shura Council in its first session, in all electoral districts, starting from 1 August 2021, Sunday, and continuing until next 5 August 2021. It is scheduled to announce the preliminary lists of voters on Sunday, 8 August 2021.
