“Education Above All” Foundation (EAA), through its program “Reach Out To Asia” (ROTA) has launched electronic platform related to the initiative “Connecting for Care,” in collaboration with World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH) that is an initiative taken by Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), “Modaris” application affiliated with “ Dlala Smart” Company. This company is a local company established by the graduates of Texas A&M University at Qatar, which is one of the universities affiliated with Qatar Foundation (QF). This aims at curbing the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
“Connecting for Care” is an interactive platform via the internet that aims to provide social support for laborers who are quarantined in the State of Qatar. This platform gives users the opportunity to contact others and discuss topics and different societal issues in their mother tongue. This also includes providing full support for them in the light of the current global crisis and reducing anxiety and stress during this period. This is by visiting the website of this platform.
The work team of trained volunteers provides a number of services via this platform, including speaking to users in 10 various languages, in order to provide reliable information issued by the relevant official bodies in the State. This information includes the preventative measures aiming to curb the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). This is in addition to providing tips for them on how to keep their safety and physical fitness, as well as providing the opportunities to continue learning Arabic and English languages online.
