The Digital Transformation of SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) Program, as part of the initiatives made by the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) for encouraging the digital transformation of SMEs, has launched two important workshops via the internet during January 2021. The first workshop is titled "remote business management." The second workshop highlights “businesses’ solutions by using the technology of radio frequency identification (RFID)."

The Program also noted the importance of continuing to provide these workshops online, for the purpose of encouraging the digital transformation of SMEs in the State of Qatar. This also includes empowering companies to excel in the use of modern technology, and enhancing awareness on the benefits of using it in the business sector, in a manner that will take maximum advantage of various technologies to save time, effort and cost. 

The Ministry also emphasized its commitment to developing and sustaining the information and communications technology (ICT) sector in the State at various levels. Moreover, MOTC seeks to support the development of knowledge-based state economy, by providing and developing an environment of innovative and sustainable digital community.
