Four research projects designed to contribute to Qatar's development process in the fields of education to achieve global citizenship, cybersecurity, environmental management, science and technology education, engineering and mathematics, have received grants from the Qatar National Research Fund, a member of Qatar Foundation.

The National Priorities for Scientific Research program - Pathway to Research Pools which is designed to meet strategic challenges in Qatar aims to develop solutions that produce a tangible socio-economic impact. Through this program, Qatar National Research Fund, a member of Qatar Foundation, supports multi-institutional research and interdisciplinary research to solve important and complex problems that require unconventional ways to solve them.

As part of this course the fund received 25 preliminary research proposals submitted by researchers from seven institutions in Qatar. 10 research proposals were included in the shortlist then four research proposals were chosen to receive funding for a period ranging between 3 and 5 years.
