Dr. Abdullatif Al Khal, Chair of the National Strategic Group on COVID-19 and Head of the Infectious Diseases Division at Hamad Medical Corporation, confirmed that Coronavirus epidemic is gradually declining in the Qatar, due to the precautions and preventive measures that the country has implemented and that have been followed by members of society.

Dr. Al Khal stated, in a joint press conference organized by the Ministry of Public Health yesterday, and Dr. Hamad Al Romaihi, Director of Health Protection and Communicable Disease Control at the Public Health Department and Co-Chair of the National Pandemic Preparation Committee, spoke at the press conference, that the number of daily infections with the Corona virus ranges in Qatar between 1,000 and 1,200 cases per day, which is a number that can be increased and decreased, while the weekly infection rate is declining, confirming this indicator is reassuring, but it does not mean the end of the epidemic, as the virus is still present in society.
