Cabinet Stresses Continuing to Implement Precautionary Measures Taken to Combat COVID-19

HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, chaired the Cabinet regular meeting held yesterday noon via videoconferencing

At the beginning of the meeting, the Cabinet listened to the explanation given by HE Minister of Public Health on the latest developments to curb the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). The Cabinet also followed up on the implementation of the first stage of the plan of gradually easing the restrictions imposed due to the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). The Cabinet also stressed continuing to implement the precautionary measures taken to confront such pandemic.

Then, the Cabinet reviewed a number of topics, including the annual report on the proceedings of the National Committee for Information Security. This Committee aims at bolstering information security in the State of Qatar, in a manner that achieves the comprehensive development goals in all spheres, through the strategic direction of the national efforts necessary to implement the goals set out in the National Strategy for Information Security and ensure collaboration with the competent authorities or stakeholders in this regard.
