The Cabinet, chaired by HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, during its regular meeting held at the Amiri Diwan yesterday, affirmed the continuation of implementing the precautionary and preventive measures taken to combat the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and decided:
- Stopping the provision of medical services in private health facilities, except in emergency cases and allow any of these facilities to provide some of their medical services that can be provided through modern means of communication. This decision come into effect from tomorrow, Friday, 2 April 2021.
- Approving a draft Amiri decision to establish Qatar Tourism. The preparation of the draft resolution comes to replace the Amiri Decree No. 74 of 2018 establishing the National Tourism Council. Qatar Tourism aims to regulate, develop and invest in the tourism and hospitality industry, demonstrate the civilizational, cultural, artistic, and tourism features of the State of Qatar, and cooperate with all activities, services, and entities operating in the tourism sector within the State.
- Approving the Cabinet’s draft decision to reconstitute the Lawyers Admission Committee.
- Approving the draft decision of the Minister of Transport and Communications to establish sections in the administrative units at the General Authority for Civil Aviation, and to define their functions.
