Cabinet Decides to Oblige Citizens and Residents to Wear Masks While Leaving House

HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani chaired Wednesday the regular weekly Cabinet meeting using video conference technology.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Cabinet was briefed by HE the Minister of Public Health on the latest efforts to contain the novel coronavirus (Covid-19). The Cabinet stressed the importance of adhering to the precautionary measures taken to combat the epidemic.

The Cabinet decided to compel all citizens and residents upon leaving house for any reason to wear masks, except in the case when a person is alone while driving a vehicle and the Ministry of Interior takes the necessary measures in this regard.
