Cancelation of Facemask Requirement in Closed Public Places as of September 1

HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, chaired the regular meeting held yesterday's noon by the Cabinet at its headquarters in the Amiri Diwan.
 
At the outset of the meeting, the Cabinet was updated on the Ministry of Public Health's report on the latest developments related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and the Cabinet issued an amendment of its decision issued in the regular meeting (26) for 2022 convened on 6/7/2022 as follows:

1- Citizens, residents and visitors are no longer obliged to wear facemasks in closed public places with the only exception of being inside health facilities and using the public transportation.
2- All employees and workers whose jobs require being in closed offices and communicating with customers must wear facemasks during their work hours.
3- This decision will come into force as of Thursday, September 1, 2022.
