HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, chaired yesterday the regular weekly Cabinet meeting using video conference technology.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Cabinet was briefed by HE the Minister of Public Health on the latest efforts to contain the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). The Cabinet stressed the importance of adhering to the precautionary measures taken to combat the epidemic.

The Cabinet decided to amend its issued decision regarding the working hours of employees in the government sector present at their workplace, so that it would be 7 hours a day, starting from 7 AM until 2 PM, as well as to amend its issued decision regarding the halt of medical services in health facilities, so as to offer those services within 40% of the capacity of private healthcare facilities.
